By the process, the observed amount of sulfone impurity i.e., 5-amino-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-3-cyano-4-trifluoro methylsulfonyl pyrazole in fipronil is in the range of 0% to 0.5%.
