摘要:The rapid deconvolution of complex chemical mixtures, such as combinatorial libraries prepared via solution-phase simultaneous addition of functionalities is demonstrated using HPLC. Libraries containing 25-216 members were screened for biological activity and active libraries are fractionated into discreet pools using preferred reversed-phase HPLC. The entire process can be completed from a single synthesis of 15-50 mg, without the need for fixed positions, serial synthesis, or tagging.

摘要:Dendrimer conjugates are presented, which are formed between a dendrimer and a protein solubilising substance. Such dendrimer conjugates ar effective in the treatment of protein aggregate-related diseases (e.g. prion-related diseases). The protein solubilising substance and the dendrimer together show a protein aggregate solubilising effect higher than a physical mixture of the dendrimer and the protein solubilising substance (i.e. a synergistic effect). Such dendrimer conjugates are useful in the treatment or prevention of protein aggregate-relates diseases, in disinfection/decontamination processes and in classifying or identifying protein aggregates. The synthesis of such dendrimer conjugates from readily-available starting materials is described.

摘要:Process for the preparation of polyalkylenepolyamines by homogeneously catalyzed alcohol amination, in which aliphatic amino alcohols are reacted with one another or aliphatic diamines or polyamines are reacted with aliphatic diols or polyols with the elimination of water in the presence of a homogeneous catalyst and in the presence of hydrogen gas. Polyalkylenepolyamines obtainable by such processes and polyalkylenepolyamines comprising hydroxy groups, secondary amines or tertiary amines. Uses of such polyalkylenepolyamines as adhesion promoters for printing inks, adhesion promoters in composite films, cohesion promoters for adhesives, crosslinkers/curing agents for resins, primers for paints, wet-adhesion promoters for emulsion paints, complexing agents and flocculating agents, penetration assistants in wood preservation, corrosion inhibitors, immobilizing agents for proteins and enzymes.

摘要:Ethylbenzyl chloride quats (EB quats) and their related salts. The synthesis of EB quats requires minimal capital requirements, produces products in good yields, without difficult to dispose of waste and in a cost-effective manner. The preferred embodiment of the invention is to perform a condensation reaction of a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated fatty acid, of between 2 and 22 carbons with an amine that has either a primary amine and tertiary amine or a secondary amine and tertiary amine. An example is dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA). The amido amine that results from the condensation reaction described is then reacted with ethyl benzyl chloride (EBC) to produce the desired EB quat. Additional processing, such as ion exchange can be performed to eliminate the chlorine or substitute it for another anionic species, organic or inorganic.

More specifically, this disclosure relates to the preparation and recovery of MOFs at multiple scales of production, demonstrating the suitability and robustness of the materials thus obtained by the disclosed synthetic route and post-synthetic manipulation employed to tailor the materials for use in a variety of commercial acid gas separation systems, with improved performances, recyclability, and reuse characteristics.
