摘要:Compounds of formula: wherein both groups X are chlorine, bromine or trifluoromethyl, or one X is chlorine or bromine and the other is trifluoromethyl, and Y is -CN or -COOR in which R is an alkyl group, are obtained by (A) reacting a compound of the formula: wherein X1 is chlorine or bromine, with a compound of the formula: X2C=CH-CH=C(CH3)2 in the presence of metallic copper or at least one copper salt and a base, or (B) reacting a compound of the formula: Y-CH2-CN with a compound of the formula: X2C=CH-CH=C(CH3)2 and chlorine or bromine, in the presence of at least one reducible copper salt and a base, or (C) reacting a compound of formula: X-CH2-CN with a compound of the formula: wherein X1 is chlorine or bromine, in the presence of at least one copper salt. The compounds are intermediates in the synthesis of pyrethroid insecticides.

摘要:Betaine group-containing polysaccharides with recurring anhydroglucose units of the average, general formula are disclosed. In this formula the R1 groups are the same or different and represent methyl, in which n=2 or 3, m=0 to 10, p=0 to 10 and R2 is a hydrogen atom or the betaine group in which R3 and R4 are the same or different and represent an alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and R5 is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, with the proviso that at least 0.5% of the R1 groups in the polysaccharide molecule represent the betaine group. Also disclosed is a method for the synthesis of these compounds and their use in cosmetic preparations, expecially for the care of the hair. In addition, novel compounds of the general formula are disclosed as intermediates in which the substituents R3, R4 and R5 have the above meaning.
